GENDER EQUALITY

Dismantling patriarchal and other structures of power and fostering an enabling environment for gender equity requires multi-layered interventions and cooperation from both duty bearers and right holders.

We believes in suppressing gender inequality, injustices and GBV through tacking the causative factors and mitigating the risk associated with it.

Goteo engages with faith based organizations and likeminded CSOs to enact preventative measures. Faith-based organizations and CSOs in northern Uganda are required by their strategic goals to critically work towards breaking the harmful links between religion and culture that confine women to their homes, where violence most frequently occurs.
