BOARD OF GOVERNORS

 

GEORGE KIDEGA (MR):

 

GEORGE KIDEGA is the Board chair and a member of governance and organizational Development Committee of the Board, he is the former principal of Labworomor Primary Teachers College, has held various positions including chairman of the Pabwo Development Association, current prime minister with Patiko Cultural Institution, and member of governor boards of various civil society and educational institutions in northern Uganda.

 

 

 

VICKY LOKWIYA (MRS):

 

She is a vice chairman of the Board and a member of the governance and organizational development committee of the Board. Vicky is a well-known proponent of the elimination of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in Uganda through the East and Central Africa Farmer Forum (ESAF).

 

 

 

LAKAREBER JOYCE (MISS)

She is the deputy secretary to PID-Uganda, she holds Diploma in Gender and Development from the Institute of Social Development, Nsamizi-Uganda.

Lakareber has been involved in a number social Research and Documentation especially on issues related to social and economic welfare of the populace affected by the armed conflict.

 

 

SOPHIE AGWOKO (MRS):

 

Sophie, a Gulu-based feminist and human rights activist, she belong to programs and resource mobilization committee of the Board.  Sophie has been involved in progressive civil society organizations for nearly 20 years. She is a resource person for post-conflict development intervention in Goteo-Uganda and is dedicated to achieving international human rights standards for women in conflict-affected areas.

 

 

 

 

SIMPOROZA OTIM (MRS):

 SIMPOROZA belong to Programs and Resource Mobilization Committee; she is a graduate teacher by professional and the head-teacher of Opit secondary school; with 12 years of work experience in the field of education and mentoring. She is also a coordinator of a family life support organization; a symposium of concerned parents on life issues in northern Uganda; and a member of the Board for various organizations and institutions in Acholi sub-region.  

 

 

 

KOMAKECH JOHN BOSCO (MR):

 

John Bosco, former CEO of St. Kizito Counseling Centre Gulu, is a book writer and linguistic translator. He holds a diploma in religious education and pastoral studies from AMECA PASTORAL INSTITUTE-Uganda and has undergone extensive financial training.

 

John Bosco is a treasurer and a member of Audit and Risk Management Committee of the board.

 

 

PROGRAM AND MANAGEMENT TEAM

 

 

Opio Wilfred Opiro

 

He is the Programme Manager (PM) of Goteo-Uganda and a secretary to the board, he leads the organization's development work of Goteo. He has a Masters in Science and a postgraduate Dip in Project Planning, he specializes in project cycle management, participatory approaches, rural community development, and gender.

 

HARRIET LAKER:

 

Harriet, a result-oriented and focused team player, is the project officer for livelihood with Goteo-Uganda. With over five years of experience in northern Uganda, she has worked as an agricultural officer with ACF and Charity for Peace Foundation.

 

 

 

IMMACULATE ADONG:

IMMACULATE Adong, a qualified programme accountant and administrator with extensive experience in book-keeping and accounts administration, joined TEAMS in 2010 and is involved in various professional undertakings.
