ADVOCACY AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Our advocacy strategy is grounded in the Christian faith and human rights-based approach, expressing solidarity with vulnerable and marginalized women in northern Uganda, recognizing their agency and innate human rights.

Through advocacy; we supports and amplifies the voices of women and post conflict communities to peruse their rights to land and efforts to hold their authorities accountable for the realization of these rights.

This involves defending the right and space for civil society to freely advocate and become involved when there are worthwhile opportunities to do so in opposition to any fundamentalism that jeopardizes women’s access to, control over, and ownership of land and natural resources.  

We are further dedicated to

·        Increase knowledge and skills particularly on women’s land rights and gender equality in access, control and ownership of land.

·        Empower rural women to challenge unjust power structures that drive inequality, undermine rights to customary land and keep women in poverty and to claim their rights to land and natural resources.

·        Address power imbalances and influence the implementation of land laws and policies in favors of women.
